Seven other nations have claims for the area, including Norway, Sweden, Canada, and the U.S.  Earlier this month, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the nation intends to "defend" its sovereignty in the Arctic, backing up the statement with a plan to divert 8 military patrol ships to the region, along with a new deep-water port.

I'm pretty sure Denmark's one of those "7 other countries"... Soooo we will properly claim Greenland and the area surrounding it and then get smacked around by the US.

Prices have plummeted here. They took a nosedive after the ban on offshore oil drilling got lifted...


...not like that did anything. It's gonna be a good four years before we start seeing any real supply increase from it, but I don't mind the "false" devaluation.

On this whole north pole business... it sounds like an amazing plot to a new game. A polar world war? Infinity Ward will be working on a new IP soon. ;)
