What are your thoughts on this game so far?

brief info:

" Iron Phoenix" is the first game of its kind, joining strategic team-play with weapon-based melee combat, and featuring characters, weapons and a storyline worthy of a Kung-Fu film. Developed by InterServ International, Inc., the game is Sammy Studios' first title for Xbox. " Iron Phoenix" introduces a new genre to online games, allowing up to 16 simultaneous players in team combat with Xbox Live enabled play.


It looks nice it sounds nice but does it play nice?

I haven' t even heard about this video game until now. I checked out the following site and it definitely peaks my interest. Good screenshots, good storyline. I guess we' ll have to wait and see.

From what I' ve read and heard, this is not the first game to combine the RTS style with melee combat.

Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders is due out on November 16, 2004.

Iron Phoenix isn' t due out until 1st Qtr., 2005.

And the Samurai Warriors series is already out...
