It looks like the Dakar is being held this year in South America, no doubt in-part due to the terrorist threats that canceled the event in 2008. The race travels through 11 Argentinian provinces, and three Chilean regions in a 6000 kilometer circuit.

It' s not till January, but I' m already excited. Nitro turned me on to the race months and months ago, and well... it' s f*cking badass. I' m hoping they' ll have some decent coverage of this years event, at least some I can pick up stateside. I' m a little worried though, because before here, I didn' t even know it existed.

yeah i quite enjoy dakar. i was hoping to find some dvds on netflix but got nothing. at least the race is back on should be interesting .

Yeah man... I' d love to watch that.

So we won' t get to watch them run over Africans? A minor disappointment but I' m glad they found a solution.

Race to Dakare was great, hopefully more stuff like that is made.
