Tales of Vesperia Demo Hits Asia!! - Jun 21, 2008 23:28

Here' s some good news, bad news, and then good news again! The first good news is that Namco Bandai' s Xbox 360 exclusive Tales of Vesperia now has a demo up on Xbox Live. The bad news? Currently the demo is only available in India and Asia...but do not fret! There is no fretting! Users in other regions who just so happen to have a Japanese Silver account set up are more than welcome to download the demo and fool around with the title. The icing on this Oreo good-bad-good cake? The demo only weighs in at 278 MB, and it runs in good old English, so no battling with the squigglies. Sweet!

I just played through the demo once . I don' t think thats enough to form an opinion but from what i played it looks good . The graphics are nice and simple . The combat system is real time as you all know , which is a nice change since i have been playing Lost odyssey for quite a longtime now . Every character has a special attack (ARTES) , normal attack , fatal strike and block . The voice acting is ok i guess and music is your standard jrpg stuff . There are no random battles . You can actually see the enemies you are going to face ( like blue dragon ) . Here are some pics i captured with my cam ,

Thanks a lot 2pac. From what I can tell the combat looks and sounds very similar to that of Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell). I watch a video on Gamersyde and it looks nice enough, but I am hoping that the full version gives the option for Japanese voice overs with English subtitles.

It looks like my 360 will be fulfilling my JRPG crave this year.

Its some what like eternal sonata but there are no action points or anything . Its fully real time . I spent some more time with the demo yesterday night and its fun .

Tales of is a fantastic rpg franchise.

I love to make sandwhichs and buying euqipment in the towns :)
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

The demo was a bit hard,but its because we arn' t used to the moves and combos etc,+ you can powerlevel+buy lots of cool stuff in towns to make your characters uber.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
