Graphically speaking, I' m sure the game will be just fine ...But that never was Treyarch' s problem.

wonder whether they' ll do a mp beta like was done for 4? It certainly stoked interest for that one. Screens look ok, will have to find the trailer off somewhere else but live unless someone here cares to post it. I' ll probably end up getting this anyway unless it really is pants, as I' m a sucker for WWII shooters.

...Pants? Anyway, I am as well, and I' ve fallen for the trap more than once (I payed full price for Medal of Honor: Rising Sun... if that doesn' t prove it. ), but I can' t see myself not getting a Call of Duty game. If nothing else, the multiplayer will be solid. Maybe not CoD4 solid, but that' s been getting rather stale lately with the lack of decent maps.

sorry, pants is UK term for rubbish, have to be careful of my phraseology as using work laptop, as they tend to monitor things. In previous CoD games they' ve released more than one set of maps, so here' s hoping for more for 4. They had a competition for people to create their own on the PC so its not as if they' d have to do any work on them if they wanted.

So it would be a logical thought that the character in the screenshot is a Jap officer. Eddie I know what you mean about Rising sun, I even bought the special edition with the Ammo tin (which I still have.) I am hoping that Treyarse have learnt from the criticism from CoD3 and the plaudits lauded on CoD4.

they have indicated the perks from CoD4 mp would be repeated in 5, but obviously some don' t translate well into a historical setting, so which do you think would be kept and which modified/added? One assumes a Katana would be unlockable at higher levels in mp.

I hope they get rid of martyrdom, that has to be the most annoying perk. I can' t see UAV jammer being included

You could still have 3 specials as smokes and stuns were used in wwII. RPG could be replaced by Panzerfaust/Bazooka, C4 by Demolition charges, Claymores I guess you can' t have but some sort of anti-personnel mine is a possibility. Air strikes would still be possible, but helicopters wouldn' t so maybe mortar/artillery support would replace. With the game covering pacific and late eastern front areas that' s four sets of weapons to use, but not sure how they' ll progress as red dot and silencer will be out for most.

I like it so far... just because its set in WW2 dosent mean its boring or old.
Change is inevitable. Except from a vending machine. Viva La Revolution! erm, I mean Viva La Wii!

I think it looks good, but I don' t think I' ll like the snipers climbing trees thing. Its either going to be too overpowered or too limited.
