Sega' s losses.
-
May 15, 2008 18:34
How much money does Sega make across all of their operations yearly? It says they have had net sales of 4 billion US but a loss of $500 million US does that mean they still made 3.5 billion? Or does it mean they made no profit but lost $500 million?

If they made a loss and not a profit... what do you think?

They need to do something about the losses from their arcades this is not good. It' s okay for a hardware maker to lose a bit of money but not Sega because they don' t make hardware anymore.

How do you have 4 billion in sales with a loss of 500 Million? Clearly they have a broken business model. They should just give up and sell weed instead. Their games are trash anyways.

Eh, EA just posted an almost identical loss for the year. It' s not necessarily a broken business model... they acquired a couple of development studios in the past year. Overall they seem to be shaping up.
