-
Apr 25, 2008 23:48
3 of my friends PS3s just plopped for no reason what so ever. The TV can' t find the signal no mater how much we messed with...maybe its just local as they all been bought from the same gamestop. Around the same time last year.

That sucks. Do they have warranties on them?

Did you try getting video through the Sony port and HDMI?

As far as I know the other two tried every combination they could think of. Me and my other friend just messed around with the main cords for a bit and left it alone. He' s probably still trying stuff. In the span of one week three went down with the same damn problem. The thing don' t move. We' re probably just gonna go to the gamestop with receipts and bitch and moan for a while.

Definintely. Chances are they' ll replace them for free, or on the cheaps, just to get repeat business.

Can they be turned on? This may be the simple(properly wrong) solution Turn on your PS3 and hold the standby button until you hear a beep(takes around 5 seconds) and then it should work... To repeat myself it might be the wrong solution

If the PS3 is setup for HDMI output, it will not output anything via the regular analog connections. So if the HDMI went to hell, you' d have no way of navigating through the menus to tell it to output via analog unless you have the PS3 OS memorized.

Mine still works fine. I hardly use it though, just for movies (and only BD).

My PS3 has had a bit more love since I got FF12, Eye Of Judgment (yes I am a super geek) and Warhawk. 30 Days of Night on Bluray FTW.

Eye of Judgement So, you like it then? It looked interesting, but I' m not one for gimmicks, and the whole card thing turned me right off to it. Is it really that good?
