Blizzard turned down Uwe
-
Apr 23, 2008 01:49
Uwe Boll has revealed that he approached Blizzard about doing a World of Warcraft movie and got shot down immediately. “I got in contact with Paul Sams of Blizzard, and he said, ‘We will not sell the movie rights, not to you… especially not to you,’†Boll told MTV. “Because it’s such a big online game success, maybe a bad movie would destroy that ongoing income, what the company has with it.†Never mind, Uwe. It’s not the end of the world. Of Warcraft. Link more should do that

I remember watching on Spike last year (can' t remember what Gametrailers TV was called before) and they were interviewing David Jaffe about God of War when they ran into Uwe. Geoff Keighley (hope that' s how to spell his name) asked David if he would be interested in having Uwe do a God of War movie. David gave a flat out NO right in Uwe' s face.

We will not sell the movie rights, not to you… especially not to you I agree.
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
