It was warranty fraud. He wanted to get his box fixed, and he tried to overheat his box to ring it out.

Looked like some of the games may have survived the fire, he' ll have to make sure his next console is a falcon.. :) He should have unplugged the power cord to minimize the risk offcourse, aswell as all of the other electrical equipment in his house when leaving... :-/ But, Microsoft judges the risk to only 1 out of 10.000, isn' t that strangely low number for a fire-hazardous power-supply? Let' s hope the carpenters builds the walls farther away from the power-supplies, when he rebuilds.. :-/
