I’m not usually into scrolling shooters but I keep hearing this name banded about the place from even before it was being put onto X-Box Live. Is it worth me picking up if I’m a shooter newb?

Someone had previously (months ago) asked if you can still rotate your monitor to make use of the vertical aspect ratio, and the answer is yes.

I own the Dreamcast version. I could never get into the whole " 10 billion bullets onscreen and you have to use a special trick to dodge them oh and you have a hit box that is no bigger than a single pixel" type of shooters. I' ll stick with R-Type, MUSHA, Thunderforce, Gradius V (which comes close to wandering into the above genre) and the like.

So so so sweet. It even let me choose a 16:10 aspect ratio. To bad 360 vga doesn' t support 1680x1050 and the game doesn' t render at that resolution. It still looks awesome scaling from 720p though. It kinda makes me wish my 46" tv rotated. Here is a google video of it too.

Hellacool! My 1920x1200 screen rotates. I never used this feature before, thought it was pointless. Now I' m glad it' s there.

Anyone else find it funny when they flash a paragraph long story for 2 seconds on screen between stages? I love the bad translations too lol. It is like they just had the programmers use their best guess.

As much as I LOVE Ikaruga, sometimes 2-Player co-op is damn near unplayable on Xbox Live. I spent most of last night playing 2-player co-op with different players and the lag was wrecking us. The game' s challenging enough as it is, but with the lag affecting the timing I kept getting blown up because of the one-to-two second delay when trying to switch polarity.
