Bioshock 2 Headed For PS3 and Wii?

Job listings for the 2K Marin-led sequel to BioShock hint rather heavily that the sequel (prequel?) will be coming to more than just the Xbox 360 and PC. The team at 2K are looking for a Senior Designer, noting that " Playstation3 experience is required." Also preferred? Unreal Engine 3 experience. BioShock 2 was officially announced last month with a pre-holiday 2009 release date, giving us plenty of time for rumor, speculation and console fanboy pissing matches.

Also noteworthy is that the multiple open job listings for BioShock 2 positions specify PlayStation 3, Xbox, and Wii as the intended platforms. I just hope they call it BioShock Too, because that' s a funny and lighthearted way to name your sequel and the first one was sort of depressing. Who' s with me?!

Wii is listed, but it' s only about applicants previous experience, ...it means nothing.

Kotaku are putting a spin on it to get hits. It' ll obviously hit PS3, 360 and PC, but it ain' t going to Wii.

I doubt Take-Two would take them up on another exclusivity offer for anything short of an astronomical amount of money. They responded negatively to Microsoft' s " hostile takeover" attempts, as they should have, and paying them off for another exclusive title would be takeover by proxy, which I don' t think they' d be keen on either.

This isn' t to say that there won' t be an exclusivity deal made before now and launch, but the likelihood is slim unless Microsoft pulls out the big bucks.

Unless you don' t count Nintendo games as " Nintendo console exclusive" which they always are.

I agree M$ should have tried and kept Bioshock an exclusive, however sooner or later someone is going to call foul on all this exclusivity stuff, I mean unfair competition or something along those lines.

while the install base of the ps3 didn' t make much sense for the first one, by the time the second comes out the general assumption is that there will be almost as many ps3s as 360s so cross-system seems obvious. Can' t see a wii version unless they turned it more family oriented, although swinging the wrench would be fun

Bioshock is a great game, much better than any GTA game in the past, but it doesn' t have the mainstream name recognition as GTA.

True. It didn' t, but there' s no doubt that the sequel will perform far better in the sales department than the original, which was not too shabby on it' s own right.

GTA IV allocations have pretty much sold out in the UK. I' m sure we' ll get more but i expect the game to destroy any title this gen in it' s first week sales.

It was overrated, but still the best game that came out between March and September.
