Surround Sound rigs?
-
Mar 13, 2008 02:37
I just decided to buy this little baby today: Sony HTSF1100 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-HTSF1100-Theatre-System-Output/dp/B000OQ5OAQ £70 cheaper than in the sony shop. My first surround sound setup, I' ve got a smallish living room in the flat so this should be ideal. Luckily my neighbour downstairs is nearly deaf so COD4 shouldn' t upset her too much. What do you guys use?

You don' t want to know what I use, and I even think I could improve it. Any way, surround sound is great especially since the Xbox, Xbox360, PS2 (in a very limited sense in a few games) and PS3 take advantage of discrete multi-channel sound. The Wii is really lacking in this department, and that makes me sad. I need a hug.

Logitech Z-5500. It is only 505 watts but it has high sound quality and the satellites and receiver are very small.

Surround sound is alright, but nothing beats MONO! NOTHING! There are no guessing games with mono, everything comes out of one frigging speaker!

My system doesn' t come packaged in a box. Well actually each speaker had it' s own individual (and large) box, but they were not all included as a part of a single set with a receiver. I really need to get a better receiver, one wth HDMI inputs and Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio decoding.
