They already cut the prices in Canada a couple weeks ago. That could have something to do with the fact that our dollar is worth as much, or more than the American dollar though.

The Arcade is now $280, Pro $350, and Elite $450. The Pro' s and Elites also come with a free Turok, or Bioshock at two of the major retailers.

Also of note is that the new Arcades(in Canada at least), are no longer ceramic white, they have the same matte finish of the Elite but in white. As well, the disc tray is no longer chrome on the Arcade, it is white, just like the rest of the console. I really don' t see the point in making the Arcade look lower rent than the Pro, the goal is to have options for consumers, not make them look cheap when they buy a certain product. I do prefer it w/o the chrome, but the matte finish looks sad compared to the ps3 and wii.

If that' s the case, you guys are late to the party. With the fall of the American dollar, you guys have been paying more for 360s than we are for quite some time. If I' m not mistaken that' s been our price point since the Arcade' s release, or there-around.

A price drop would make sense, if their manufacturing costs are low enough and their potential consumerbase high enough. The console sweet-spot has always been around a buck ninety-nine, and if the price drops are made across the entire 360 line, that would put the Premiums and Elites in that range, with the Arcade as a direct competitor to the Nintendo Wii.

Yah, we are still behind American prices, probably always will be. I' m used to it by now when it comes to electronics and clothes. The prices right now are what they should have been in October/November.

Luckily, all our software is the same price as Americans.

Yeah, I think Zoy' s right on this one.

I was always under the impression that the US and Japan consistently got first dibbies, and Europe got bent over nice and slow for a few months, to give them time to contemplate how viciously they' ve been sodomized.

...but that' s just my thinking.

What is the minimum wage there though? That plays a part.

I still remember going to Spokane and Seattle when I was young to meet some of my relatives friends. I bought Sunset Riders, Zombies Ate My Neighbours, NBA Jam Heat, and every other game I could get my hands on for cheap. Like, Super Soccer, Fatal Fury, and Darius Twin(was the first game I rented for the SNES).

minimum wage is like 18$, but you have to factor in the average 48% tax as well. which leaves around 9$ as the average. Thats ofcourse not counting deductions and what not.
