Yeah I' m not really looking forward to a sequal. The first game was great, but unless it introduces some major new gameplay elements I' m not interested.

Doesn' t need new gameplay elements, as far as I' m concerned. Just more puzzles! They could just dispense with the plot completely from here on out. The first was great, and it had the tie in with Half-Life, blah, blah... Not necessary any longer! In the immortal words of Joe, from Family Guy: " BRING IT ON!!"

great game, does it needa sequal? what would they do? There doesn' t need to be any major gameplay development. Look at any successful game franchise in the past 5 years. How much innovation has really gone on from the first title to the most recent? Call of Duty? Halo? Katamari Damacy? Madden? All relatively fun concepts, and they all sell well, but there isn' t much in the way of new changes between iterations. I' d be content with new levels, and more of GlaDOS.

I enjoyed the story and humour the most in the first one, the gameplay was original but I wouldn' t have kept playing for the puzzles alone. More of the same humour and narrative would be great. They could do a prequel around the time when the AI went beserk. With you and your colleagues inside. They could even do multiplayer where you had to cooperate to solve puzzles.

I enjoyed the gameplay quite a bit. It wasn' t a game that I sat down & played level through level, but when needed to take a break from Half-Life or Team Fortress 2 I popped over into Portal for a little bit and break out the puzzle-oriented portion of my brain.
