Raven: I know you like RPG' s; I' d STRONGLY recommend Star Ocean: ' Til the End of Time. It' s got a great chance of being the best RPG I' ve played thus far this generation with the exception of FF X. It' s right up there in the running for second with Suikoden III, KotoR, and Xenosaga.

(haven' t played Fable or Tales of Symphonia yet)

I will probably pick it up when I finish off some of my other RPGs and it drops in price.

However, seemingly I just bough Shadow Hearts (yes the first one) off of eBay without even knowing.
I saw it there for somewhat cheap and tried to put a tiny bid expecting it to be outbid right away but then eBay messed up and said something like it didn' t go through and I was outbid.
THEN I just checked my mail and it said I won.
Someone please tell me that this game is at least somewhat good and worth playing (I saw a bunch of reviews that trashed it big time)
I think it will cost me like $25 Canadian (~$18 US)

Raven: Don' t you worry; Shadow Hearts is actually considered to be one of the most overlooked and underrated games of this generation. I remember a particular thread at GameFaqs that asked posters to rate this game on a scale of 1-10. After 35 responses or so, the game was averaging about an 8.5, and some went so far as to say that the game was actually their favorite PS2 RPG. This surprised me a great deal, and after asking around a bit more and doing a little research on this game, it really seems like many, many people thought SH was definitely under-appreciated.

I' ve been meaning to get the first one myself for some time now. The second one (Covenant) looks great too.

I just got ESPN NFL 2K5. The game is confusing and pressureful (yea I know it' s not a word) but I am determined to control the game and understand its options. Anyone got advice for me?

fathoms - Thanks for the info. I kept reading mixed reviews about the game. Like gamespot gave it a 7.9/10 I think but IGN gave it like a 4 or 5/10
The second one does look good which is why I became interested in the 1st one (can' t play the sequel without playing the first one)

I love football but when it comes to playing ESPN NFL 2K5, things get really confusing. There' s like a thousand things you can do on the control for EACH position, ie defense, offense, kick off, punt. Then when you' re in the huddle, you have no idea what the heck is on screen, all the formations and line-ups, you don' t know which X is a WR, a TE, a DE, etc... and I am confused on switching players prior to the snap, then when the snap is over, I run for a few measly seconds before I get knocked down by the other team.[:' (]

Raven: One last note from me- GameSpot also gave Star Ocean a 7.9, and that ' s not only the lowest score of every last major site/publication I can find (just checked GR), but it' s typical of a GS score for JRPG' s......they' ve posted the lowest score I' ve seen of the last three JRPG' s running, all the way back to FF X-2. So they' re not exactly reliable when it comes to this genre.

We were talking about this a little while back in another forum; most everyone was convinced that, after reading the reviews, that the reviewers at GameSpot had not even bothered to play more than a couple hours of SO 3, Phantom Brave, and La Pucelle Tactics...going back farther, same goes for Legaia 2.

In this case, I' d go with most gamer feedback...and most that I' ve found said that Shadow Hearts is a darn good RPG.

Now that Donkey Konga and Mario Pinball Land are out I want to get those!. I have been desperately looking for a job. nobody wants to hire me. I had an interview at Gamestop the one store I really wanted to work at and I thought everything was going fine. They never called back. I hate that manager. I called too and asked how it went he said " I don' t know sorry can' t talk now busy I will call you later" Never called. Makes me mad. So now I have been eyeing this Video Wearhouse. I hope I work there it seems easy and fun. WHAAA!
