So whats with all the Markets crashing?

I dont pay much attention to the news very much, but this is on just as much as the guy who just died. I take it thats its bad, anybody have any idea what is about? what can it cause? and is it overblown by the media [more than likely]

There was a global stock-market decline. The US responded by slashing interest rates by .75%, and we' re seeing a bit of an increase up from where it dipped down a couple days ago.

It' s not a good sign, but at least it' s not plummeting.

Oh, and the media always blows the unimportant things out of proportion, and leaves the important stuff for those squares who don' t want to watch 15 minutes of " breaking news" on Heath Leger' s cocaine binge/death.

A depression implies the economy will go back up. I don' t see how the US will stay number one for much longer. Too much debt and not enough oil.

Unless we see a turnaround in the focus of our government (If I hear the words " change" come out of another politician' s mouth trying to get into office, I' ll kill a puppy), Saudi Arabia will have a death-grip on our country' s junk.

Nuclear powerplans are illegal in denmark! and Sweden is dismantling theirs. I havent got a problem with it, as long as the waste is dispossed of safely (like in the atlantic or something)
