PSP Remote Play Question
-
Jan 20, 2008 02:17
Hey guys, I just got a PSP and I have a question. Now, I got remote play to work with my PS3 and I know how to turn off the PS3 with my PSP as well. But is there a way to actually turn on my PS3 with my PSP? Because if there isn' t, it kind of defeats the purpose of remote play in the first place, as I would have to leave my PS3 on when I go out, which I don' t want to. Any ideas?

You can but your psp and PS3 firmware needs to be up to date. Go to PS3 settings->Remote Play->and enable remote start. If you' re away from your PS3, you also have to " connect via internet" obviously. I' m really looking foward to being able to encode Blu-ray movies to the psp without using hombrew. That ability is coming soon.

That worked. Thanks a lot Ghost! I do have a question though, I' ve noticed that the PS3 just auto-starts by itself from time to time. How do I avoid this? Will it be enough if I turn of the wlan switch on my PSP?

I had to turn off the PS3 remote start option off, since it would still turn on by itself, even when I had switch off the wlan on the PSP. That' s weird
