I like the ideas going behind this game to create a more natural moving FPS. The producer of the game, Owen O’Brien, commented that they want to " change the way that players are able to move in first person. No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game." Reminds me of Breakdown in a way tho I never had a chance to play that game.

Every dev says they want to get rid of walls and barriers, but theres always going to be a barrier somewhere to define the game world. Plus natural movement is almost the hardest thing to do in an FPS. They' ll need to have at least 5 distinct speeds of walk/run and the ability to use your hands independently imo. Its just annoying when producers promise things they cant live up to.

That' s why you set the bar low, with something like real time weapon change.

I think Assassins Creed achieved a good end result in terms of natural movement, if only they could make the controls a bit more simple and ' natural' . If DICE can top that I could be happy.

ORIGINAL: Vx Chemical They' re renders. They are? Thats pretty lame then. *** EA Well yes and no. They' re not representitive of how the game actually looks... more of a " this is what we' re aiming for..." type of thing. Every publisher does it... and Ubisoft is the worst. Like all early touched up game media, it serves as an indicator as to the direction they' re going in, and i like it. It looks to me to be what Perfect Dark Zero should have been in terms of style and gameplay. I have tons of faith in DICE, and their other next gen game - Battlefield: Modern Combat looks badass too. I any event, we shopuld be glad we' re getting bright colours and a radical FPS gameplay change. I' m not sure how it will work, but if anybody can pull it of it' s DICE.

You mean Bad Company, not Modern Combat.
