Kane & Lynch hits 1M sold, Pony Friends passes 600k...

SCi Entertainment and subsidiary Eidos said Thursday that Kane and Lynch: Dead Men has sold over 1 million copies at retail since its mid-November launch.
The strong global sales essentially guarantee a sequel to the game, which was developed by the studio behind the top-selling Hitman series.

“We anticipate a positive sales trend to continue through the remainder of FY08 and for Kane and Lynch to firmly establish itself as another key franchise for the Group,” said SCi in a statement.

UK-based SCi added that Kane and Lynch' s sales-to-date for the comparable period have exceeded those of 2006’s Hitman Blood Money.

Developed by IO Interactive, Kane and Lynch launched on November 13 in the US and November 23 in Europe.

SCi also said that Pony Friends, launched in May 2007, has sold 600,000 units on the Nintendo DS, life-to-date.

I' m actually surprised by the sales of both games. Considering Kane&Lynch got less good reviews then. Usually the gaming public seems to go a lot after the scores a game gets.

And once again sub-par games show their superiority at retails, aw well... Just talking bout K&L, I have no clue wtf the pony thing is, I am guessing it has to do with ponies!

one thing Kane and Lynch did have was a lot of advertising on tv, and that shifts games to the uneducated buyer.

They may have sold a lot but noone' s gonna buy a sequel!

Pony Friends fucking rocked!

I liked Kane and Lynch...well for the most part.

Anyhow I' m sure the sales dropped some of the worries for those who bought up the movie rights before the game even released.
