Tower of Xbox' s, with some games and movies underneath. They have expanded quite a bit since then, I will try and get an updated pick, I think I' ve added 6 or 7 games and 5 blu rays.

2 Elites(mine), Halo Edition(friends), Wii, 80gb ps3(friends), 60gb ps3(mine), with Guitar Hero 3 in the back corner.

I wish I had some pictures of my old setup before I moved, I will try and dig some up. I will have to get some pics of my new one, and all the stuff I bought over christmas. These picks are from early December I believe.

Heh... basically? Yeah, spraypaint, complexly put,

Sand case till smooth.
Tape off serial number, ROL, and faceplate ports.
2 coats of white spray primer, wetsanded to a semi-gloss finish.
1 dust coat of blue, wetsand to gloss finish.
2 heavy coats blue, wetsand to gloss.
3 light coats white on grills, flat.
Details added in lithium white acrylic paint and sable-hair brush.
Ultrabrite blue LEDs wired to 5v pin under motherboard, run through metal chassis up under white grills.
3 layers of wetsanded high-gloss clearcoat for durability.

Thanks. I' m honestly not all that fond of it, at least compared to some of my other stuff, but I tend to go for a darker palette most of the time, and I figured it would be a nice idea to experiment with some lighter colors.

It' s certainly not a badass blood-dripping box from hell, but I was actually surprised at the number of hardcore gamers that kinda liked it.

I just picked up my 15th year anniversary Ken Controller now the set is complete.
I like to have things in 3 . So there is no need to for the rest of the characters. It will mess up the other of things.

Sorry my camera phone sucks.

after picking up a wireless adapter and messenger kit at the weekend I am no longer constrained by a 21inch SD tv for multiplayer, now I can be humiliated in full 37inch 1080p glory.

and write messages fast too.

I' m still in the process of upgrading my computer. I' m was waiting for a specific item to be in stock. Once they have everything I' ll order the rest of my parts.

I' m going to go with a p182 case water cooled. My first time with water cooling. Not doing it half-ass either and buying a pre made kit. I did my research and chose each part carefully, I' ll assemble it myself.

Hopefully, everything will be set up sometime in the first week of April.

I bought a new HDTV last night. A Samsung LE46M86BD It arrives on Wednesday, but i' m away from the 24th to the 5th so my girlfriend will be installing it

It cost £1200, i paid cash, ...and the fuc.ker wouldn' t give me the free Blu-Ray player you get with the 46" Bravia. I was like " Dude, 98% of you customers buy their TV' s on finance... i' m giving you cash... i want something free..." He didn' t charge me for stand

Photo' s in 2 weeks time...

I need a new LCD in about that same size range for my room to replace my old 720p LCD.

But I need something that still looks decent playing 480p content so I may go plasma rather than LCD, I don' t care if plasmas dont last as long cause I dont keep TVs for more than 3-5 years anyway, people who want their TV to last 10 years are retarded.

What is kikizo' s opinion on DLPs? I' m trying to decide between a 50-60 inch LCD or a 70+in DLP to replace my old LCD.

I like DLP' s personally. For the price you get huge screen size, resolutions up to 1080p, a very vivid display, and incredible response time.

That said, good LCD' s are ultimately superior displays, but they cost a hell of a lot more.

If you are going to get a 70" though, you need a ton of room. I have a 56" which is almost to big for most rooms, and my friend has a 61" right to the left of mine and I find it too close(we have our couches the same distance from both TV' s). Also, if you have going to have a 70" you better start buying Blu Rays, because DVD' s will look like crap in comparison, and AVI' s really start to show their poor quality.

Personally, I would just suggest getting a 56" . I have never found it too small, the price on them is extremely reasonable, and it makes finding room for the TV a lot easier.

So many of my friends focus on getting a nice expensive TV, and they don' t even pay attention to their sound system. Most TV speakers suck. Remember that you should factor in at least $1000 for a reciever, subwoofer, 2 towers a center and then 2 satellite speakers. Those packaged deals aren' t any good.

I caved today and bought a 32" Samsung. Only cost me $600 thanks to a friend hooking me up with a Best Buy employee discount. It' s 720p but for a 32" that' s all you need.

Friggin nice! I currently have a 22 inch Samsung but have been looking into upgrading to a 28-30 inch screen. I' d love something that has HDMI/DVI and Component inputs - at a reasonable price, but those seem to be hard to find at local shops.

DLP' s have horrible response times and are bad for gaming. 100' s of miliseconds sometimes. Plasma' s just all round suck. They' re super flickery and low resolution. LCD is the best way to go right now.

4ms, 1080p native resolution 46" LCD

2ms, 1680x1050, 22" LCD, 106% NTSC color saturation

Samsung has some great monitors but they are pretty expensive. I have a 22" Samsung monitor for my computer but was lucky enough to snag it on Black Friday last year for $190 and at the time it' s regular price was over $300. The TV I got today is normally around $800 my friend that works there told me so I was pretty lucky on the savings.

Keep an eye out for the Best Buy sales. They have been having some crazy deals lately. Nothing really special this week but the past few weeks have had some good stuff.

You are obviously mis-informed about DLPs. They have extremely good response times, and I personally have never had any issues with mine, and all I use it for is gaming or blu rays. DLP' s havemicrosecond response times. LCD' s have millisecond response times.

A millisecond = 1000 microseconds
A microsecond = 1000 nanoseconds

Therefore an average DLP response time of 16 microseconds is equal to 0.016 milliseconds, which isn' t even worth comparing to the average response time of any LCD.

Some problems have been known to occur on some DLP' s when they upscale the image of old consoles, though the majority do not have this problem. However, the new consoles(ps3, 360, wii) have none of these problems.

Yeah, DLPs have the fastest response time on the market currently. I also don' t know what this bullshit is about Plasmas having low resolution is about. That' s just a stupid comment. They have the same resolution as everything else and on all the Plasmas I' ve played on I haven' t seen any flickering.

My new TV is an LCD btw. Played COD4 on it for a few hours last night and it was awesome.

My roomate in college had 2 high end DLP' s, this was less than 2 years ago.
On one of them the response time was easily over 100 miliseconds. The other seemed around 30 miliseconds and was at least playable. Playing games on them gave me a headache. It was a joke trying to play a competetive shooter on them.

Please show proof that DLP' s have microsecond response times. Because the ones I have used clearly did not.

Eddie, how do you paint stuff like that without flooding the little indented letters and numbers?

Sorry Zoy, totally missed your post there.

I do about 5 ultra-thin coats of paint, never a large thick one, so the piling' s never a huge problem. However, if I' m working on a higher end mod (AKA, if they' re paying me more) or one with colored text, I' ll mask off, or more likely gum the recessed text, scrape off the excess, and then detail the text with a thick ink.

You reminded me, I' ve got more pics of the Orange Box mod to post. I' ll throw those up once I' m home.

The ultra-fast DLP® chip has an unparalleled 16 microsecond pixel response time.

That specifies the Chip, not the mirrors, and is nothing but a marketing ploy.

Also most plasma' s have low native resolutions. They' ll say their 1080p, which they do support, but they scale it down to their crappy native resolutions. There are some that have an actual 1920x1080 resolution but most of them are 1024x768 or other crappy resolutions. Also, looking at them hurts my eyes because they just flicker between colors real fast to simulate colors in between.
