Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Eid/Festivus!

What' dya get? I' m posting early, as I' m getting swag later today & some of you European freaks do stuff on the 24th ().

I went out & treated myself to some new modding supplies.

At the moment just some heartache. We' ll see later whats in the fancy boxes.

I got Assassins Creed from my brother.
My mom gave me some nice clothes and good food.
My dad gave me some money.
Some other nice crappy things to enjoy.


But most importantly, this christmas was very peaceful and there hasn' t been much stress at all. Very relaxing, that' s what I wanted the most.

New computer case, ram, vista 64 bit, switched to DSL because my cable company sucks ass, clothes, new rims for my car, etc.

So far a bunch of clothes, some of it is actually nice. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (I just asked my mom to get me a Blu-ray movie).

On my dad' s side I usually get cash from all of them. I' m thinking of buying a digital camcorder with it. Maybe the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6.

I got... socks We are going through some rough times right now, I wasn' t able to go home either, but my family at least is getting together back at home, which is good.

Majik your Gmt, so how do you know what you have gotten? as typicaly presents are given/opened in a few hours.

My parents are away for Christmas and so i got my presents from them early. I don' t see my brother until tomorrow (well, later today) but he tells me what he' s got me a few days beforehand every year.

I know what my girlfriend has bought me because i was there when she bought them.

I have stuff from friends and other family members to open after breakfast.

Clothes. Mostly undershirts, which I don' t wear too often. I also got a book, " The 1001 movies you must see before you die" , which should come in handy.

A digital camcorder, which will come in handy for reference videos for animation... a thumb drive... some books... and a painting by my neice! And a visit to my Mom' s place in Florida, where it' s 75 degrees today.

My family ended up tearing through their gifts last night, as we were all in one place, so we figured why not?

Also Family Guy and American Dad DVD' s, The Watchmen graphic novel, and mountains of vodka/wine/sambuka. I won' t be sober through January.

Excellent! I used to have a real one, they' re toasty warm. What brand is it? Out of curiosity.

I tried finding pictures of it on the net but no luck. It' s an Izod that has the sleeves starting from the neck instead of from the shoulders if you understand what I' m talking about. It also has the buttons instead of velcro that new jackets have been using lately. Will possible try taking a picture of it.

I was thinking of buying the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6, but after doing some research, I discovered the thing is overpriced at 400$ (where I buy my electronic stuff). It should be half that price. It sucks in terms of still photo' s. I wanted something with decent video and great stills.

Then I figured if I was going to spend that kind of money I might as well get something of quality.

I was looking at three cameras.
Canon PowerShot SD870IS
Canon PowerShot S5IS
Canon PowerShot G9

I decided on the G9. I chose this one over the other two mainly because it has a 3in screen, records RAW and has a ridiculous mountain of features.

I bought it at NCIX. I caught a sale and paid just under 490$ CAD. It' s at 530$ now. With taxes and shipping I paid 550$. They' re located in Vancouver, so I didn' t have to pay provincial tax, combined with the sale it was actually cheaper to order online.


I still want to buy the adapter (comes with two spare batteries) and an SD card.

I got a wireless 360 controller and play and charge kit. I also got $60 in gamestop gift cards and 1600 M$ points. I went and picked up mass effect with the gift cards and then as a sort of late christmas present thing I got a pretty kickass 33" tv/monitor which I have taken a picture of in the " Post your picture!" thread.
