24 hours to decide...should I give into temptation? IM gonna get a PS3 next year so I will have a blu-ray anyways, but should I finally give in and get and HD-DVD player as well?

If the format' s taken a turn for the worse by the time you plan to get a PS3, you just don' t get the player, and if you do decide to get one then, players and movies should be quite a bit cheaper (Whether by next year you mean right after christmas, & people are clearing stock, or whether you wait later in the year when prices naturally go down). That' s what I' d do at least.

The only one I miss is Transformers. The Matrix Trilogy is coming next year to BD.

Really? Whatever you do, buy the directors cut. don' t settle for the admittedly subpar theater release.

Just don' t get the " final cut" (newest) confused for the " director' s cut." I think there' s been about five different cuts of Blade Runner! Better get the set that has them all.
