Definetly a unique style. it looks nice i think. Im not fanatic over streetfighter though. so some of the old players might be disheartened by the move to 3d

Hmm, looks OK. If they work on it a little it could look awesome. But as it is now the background graphics are less appealing than the original 2D Street Fighters. The graphics of Ryu looks pretty cool but it doesn' t really look like Ryu to me. Sadly, the screen doesn' t reveal anything about the gameplay. Full 3D or 2.5D? It' s hard to tell. I want to see the game in motion!

From EGM... Though the screenshot doesn' t answer this question outright, we can confirm that the game' s graphics are polygonal but the gameplay is strictly 2D. There will be new moves, locations, and gameplay features, while the standard six button control scheme remains. Ryu and Ken return along with Chun-Li and Dhalsim, but beyond that the character roster is a mystery. And then there' s the issue of what platform(s) the game will end up on, which at this point Capcom is keeping close to its chest (if you search 1UP' s database, you' ll find listings for arcade, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, but those are just guesses based on the graphical quality).

Doesn' t look bad but I don' t like that screen...something about it bothers me. Probably his face. And 3D the hardcore fans of the series probably wouldn' t take it since they' re so protective about it remaining 2D. So it' s the smartest and best move to keep it 2D

Ryu' s face looks so messed up, Ryu is a handsome man and now he' s ugly as fuck. that' s the only thing bothering me in this picture, it worries me about the character design of other characters.

Handsome Ryu was pretty much a Alpha thing, I think. That face looks pretty close to the Ryu from SFII.. I think this looks absolutely gorgeous. They' re doing exactly what I was hoping for artwise, it seems. Keep it looking hand-drawn, but incorporate polygons for smooth movement and quick response time. This thing is going to look wonderful in motion. It looks like IV was worth the wait, unlike III

I like the shading style on Ryu. But those characters in the background look like they were modeled by people who are just starting to learn about 3D modeling. Just not enough personality or something.

The Backgrounds remind me of a more colorful, stranglehold.. Im expecting Ryu (who is looking more and more like Akuma) to start sliding across tables and shit. I bet the backgrounds are intereactive

I actually think the art looks nice. Some better details in the backgrounds and they could have a very nice and different looking fighter for them. But like danmx said, we' ll see if they manage to make SF get a breath of fresh air.

I would be impressed with this if it were 2001, but its not. So what theyre selling is mediocre graphics with dated gameplay. Sounds like this belongs on the Wii

I' d rather take that " dated" gameplay than most of the lame attempts at new gameplay we' re getting. Because that " dated" gameplay is still awesome. Graphically the character looks awesome, although it doesn' t look like Ryu 100%, but the backgrounds aren' t very impressive. I don' t mind the lack of detail on the people in the background because they don' t want them to steal attention from the fighters. But overall it just lacks appeal. Maybe they should work more with the colours or add some kind of effect, I dunno.

The character model could definitely use some improving, as it looks like it is using far fewer polygons than, say, Virtua Fighter 5. Also they really need to remove the emphasis on Ryu' s dick. WTF? The backgrounds look fine, though nothing about the screenshot looks " amazing" .

ORIGINAL: Joe Redifer Also they really need to remove the emphasis on Ryu' s dick. WTF? That' s a piece of cloth from the upper portion of his karate suit, not his dick. Not that I' m surprised you' re interested in those kinds of details.

They' ve done lots of subtle tweaks since the first game. And a few very noticable ones as well. You can' t really expect developers to completely change the whole gameplay style since that is the core of the franchise apart from the names and artistic design. Street Fighter should be Street Fighter.

I think I posted somewhere before that there are something like 102 Street Fighter related games and sequels out there. Even EA would cringe at that. I could stick to the old NES SFII and be happy. *oop ooii hundred hand slap* And whats up with his feet, they' re bigger than his head!

IMO the art direction and overall quality of SF HD remix that is coming out for ps3 and 360 looks far better than this.

For the pics Joe posted...the first one...once again I don' t like the model. Especially Ken in this one. Just look at his right arm...massive shoulder, no upper arm to speak off and a weird looking lower arm. Yeah yeah I know his arm is bend but still it looks completely off, weird and ugly. His left arm...shoulder going over in one big mass, no upper arm to detect at all. Just looks as if the shoulder goes into the elbow and lower arm right away and it' s just one big huge lump of meat you' re seeing with a glove at the end. And his face...well same as for Ryu' s face...I just don' t like it, looks akward. As for the second shot. Out of all 3 I would say that' s the best one. But as in the previous ones something bothers me about them. The backgrounds and certainly the people in the background need work. The characters probably won' t chance since it' s a design choice...I just happen to no like it. So if I leave that out all that they need to do to make the game look great is really work on the background. Now before all you street fighter lovers get highly annoyed let me say this. Do I like street fighter...yeah I do...do I think this looks amazing...no not at all. Sure once it' s in motion you wouldn' t pay as much attention to it. But it' s the details that make something look amazing especially the things that you don' t or hardly pay attention to. But instead of seeing it on screenshots I' d want to see it in motion and get my hands on it though before I decide if it' s worth forking over my hard earned cash or if it' s just another waste of my money and time as all those million updates and sequels.

From what I' ve seen of the pictures, the camera seems like it wanders around in 3D space... though only in a limited sense. I also agree about the Street Fighter HD Remix. I really look forward to that one... though not so much playing with an Xbox360 or PS3 pad.

This looks really bad... Going 3D killed the KoF series (granted SNK were screwed anywy) and we' ve already had a *3D* Street Fighter game that played like the 2D entries and it fookin' sucked ass. The backgrounds here look like ass and the character models look lame. I' m sure the game will be badass but i can' t say i' m impressed... at all. I' d expected somthing like this, but i figured they' d go the Naruto route....
