Hey Torr, Teej suggested peanut-butter to me ages ago, and it got that old fallout disk working. Give that a crack if you can' t find somewhere to resurface it on the cheaps.
Call your local EB though, sometimes they keep a disk buffer out.
Peanut butter sounds nasty. I had a couple of discs fixed up free as one of my friends manages a shop, but it won' t work on cylindrical scratches unfortunately.

I should, depending on traffic, be on at around 8pm GMT (in 3 1/2 hours)  If none of you guys are playing when i sign in i' ll be playing Uncharted instead.
