For those who love reliving the military campaigns within a game...
ShellShock: Nam ' 67 goes gold
After a two-and-a-half-month delay, Eidos and Guerrilla Games' shooter is finally sent to production.
Two and a half months after the game was first scheduled for release, development on ShellShock: Nam ' 67 is finally complete. Eidos announced today that the game has achieved gold status and has been sent to the factory, and it' s on track for its September 14 ship date.
ShellShock: Nam ' 67 is part of a wave of Vietnam games that includes Battlefield: Vietnam, Conflict: Vietnam, and Vietcong: Purple Haze. However, its developer, Killzone-makers Guerrilla Games, hopes to set it apart from the competition with an in-depth, morally ambiguous storyline. The game will also feature the action requisite in a third-person shooter, as well as many battlefield details from the Vietnam War, including booby traps and Vietcong tunnel complexes.
GameSpot recently got to test-fire ShellShock: Nam ' 67. Read our hands-on for more on the M-rated game, which will be released for the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2.
