The Where do you Work and what do you do Thread.
-
Nov 23, 2007 21:36
So here we post anything work related past or present. [mostly present] I guess I would like to know what you all do, whats the money like etc..you also have to post something cool about your job! I am a part time Dj assassint / lighting jockey [offical name] in one of the bigger clubs in Galway city. I am also studing electronic engineering in college full time. as for someething cool, my ego is gradually getting bigger and bigger very night as I have to deal with some of the people asking for music at the dj box, aka talking mostly to drunk girl, few of them ask if I have a girlfriend or say that I am hot lol. I also get free drink at the end of the night, but i usually take red bull as I have class in the morning!

I work for a Independent computer company that deals with helping customers who have trouble getting online, e-mail and some computer issues. I' m waiting on a management position to open up because I' m a Lead Technician or Floor Supervisor right now.
Games are your best friend as long as you don' t start talking to them.

I work at a university for the electronic media department, mostly helping students who are learning about video editing and audio engineering. On the side I have a 3D animation company that has done projects ranging from music videos to contract work for the state for instructional videos.

I work at Gamerecruiter.com as a researcher/art consultant. I basically look for people in the industry that fit the jobs we are hiring for. I also review portfolios and websites of artists that contact us to see if they' re worth our time.

I' m a full time Computer Science student. I go to college in Dublin. in one of the bigger clubs in Galway city The nightlife in Galway is great. The last time I was there I got pissed and was thrown out of the nightclub. Good times. I should be heading down to Galway before the Christmas for another piss up. I also get free drink at the end of the night, but i usually take red bull as I have class in the morning! Are ya mad! You are a student and you are getting FREE drink, are you sure you are a student?

I work at HMV Head office in Central London. Recently missed Jade Raymond by a matter of seconds. Someone from EA was in the offices two minutes before me. Spoke to Eidos about a giant Kane and Lynch mannequin. I also do freelance artwork and a secret 3-D project, and Tim Appleby from Bioware likes at least 2 of my drawings (he' s a senior artist for Mass Effect.)

Viagra? Haha! About 1 min walk from where GamerWeb' s ' actual' office used to be. :) GamerWeb was the Best site ever IMO. Maybe it was the Exclusive SEGA / Dreamcast News you managed to release before most other sites. Remember reading the Exclusive SOR4 / Yuzo Koshiro Interview while i was backstage for a Fashion Show in France (the only fashion show ive actually done).. leads onto what i do for a living...

Where do you Work and what do you do. Two main incomes: Part time Modeling, Mostly catalogs and small UK magazine adverts, From Argos / Index, Boots, Debenhams Etc. could try and get bigger Jobs but ild rather spend my extra time Playing VF than excessive Gym training (you have to be super toned to stand a chance to have any big Modeling job)..besides i need to fit in my main incomes.. I Run 2 Dance Labels (one established House label and one small Techno Label) and DJ under two aliases (actually 3, if you count VideoGameDj - still to be pushed when i have time). Also put my foot in the Door of VGM Production and landed myself as Music Producer for a still -unanmed- LIVE Arcade Project.
