Favorite TV Comedies... - Sep 08, 2004 17:00
For me it' s Honeymooners, Married With Children, Three' s Company, The Jeffersons, Good Times, In Living Color, Carol Burnett, I Love Lucy, Martin, Who' s Line Is It Anyway?, Drew Carey Show, The Red/Green Show, Red Dwarf...

I' m having a mental block...no, Joe, I am not mental! (got to it first, ha!)

Anyway, what are some of your favorite TV comedies?

Married... With Children
Freakin' hilarious and was the first show to say what we were all thinkin' . Though some of the later episodes were kind of dumb, the series as a whole was incredible.

Seinfeld
Kicks ass. However I really want to kick Jerry Seinfeld' s ass, because he seems like he needs an ass whoopin' .

MadTV
Blows the hell outta Saturday Night Live and is the best variety show currently on television.

In Living Color (the first 2 or 3 seasons, anyway)
A very good variety show that went bad way too soon. Homey don' t play dat!

Charles in Charge
This show is the best thing that' s ever happened on the planet Earth. This is the reason God created us or started the Big Bang. It' s why we are here. Life is not complete without Charles in Charge. People who have not seen every episode at least 6 times will burn in hell. Charles in Charge for President!

Others that are good but I don' t watch regularly:
Cheers
Sanford and Son Lamont!
What' s Happenin'
Ummm... can' t thing of any others right now.

Married with Children
Great, great, show...Hell I' ve even purchased my very own NO MA' AM shirt, lol. My favorite episode is the food shopping spree against the Darcie' s...too funny.

Reno 911
I noticed that it hadn' t been mentioned but it' s one of the funniest shows on right now. I laughed until I cried when I was watching last week' s episode. The crew of police officers seem to be made for each other and the little incidents that happen through the show are hilarious (a D&D game go bad for example).

Seinfeld
Some would say the best comedy ever...well I' ve watched all of the episodes and I have to say it would be close.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
Larry David (co-creator of Seinfeld) has probably the funniest show on subscription tv right now. It' s constantly filled with celebrity cameos and Larry' s bitching and moaning never get old.

Entourage
A relatively new comedy on HBO. It' s about a young actor with a former teen hunk as a brother and the friends that follow them around. It' s pretty damn funny. I don' t know the name of the guy that plays their agent but he is close to being the funniest character on tv right now.

Chapelle' s Show
Another great Comedy Central show...it has some of the greatest quotes of all comedies out there right now (and some of the most annoying too, lol). I' ve been following Dave since the beginning and I' m glad people have realized how hilarious he is and that he' s not just a 1 laugh comedian.

Roseanne
The early episodes were great but the show kind of went downhill it' s last few years.

Family Guy
This is personally my favorite animated show. I guess I' m just a big fan of the humor this show has. Evil baby Stewie is my favorite character right now in all of the current comedies. I mean c' mon...he' s a baby...and he' s evil...
In response to the following complaint I have decided to change my signature:

Disney' s Brandy & Mr. Whiskers

That show is funny on how Mr. Whiskers changes his voice everytime to that low slow voice I laugh everytime that happens cause it' s so stupid. Also the theme song is quite catchy.
