I only have one component interface on my TV which is currently in use with my Xbox, id like to get the best out of my Wii as well, so what would my options be with a switchbox? id like something automatic so i dont havbe to change channels manually, and something descreet would be good too.

You can a Y type component cable that has 2 ins and one out then hook that up to your TV, then whatever system you have turned on will show on your TV.

It' s my responsibility to give the outlandish modder' s option, which would be to make a solid-state AV switcher, & then wire up a bazillion component jacks to the beast. Is that discreet enough for you?
