MS Is Unbelievable!!!!

So, I just got my 360 back from repair today. Now I was happy with the fact that it only took 9 days from the date that I shipped it out to recieve the cosole.

Anyway, I plug it in, put in Blue Dragon because I wanted to finally finish the game, and what greets me after about 10 minutes of gaming. 3 FUCKING RED LIGHTS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

I think that this might be a record of some sorts for FFS!!!!!! It took all of 10 minutes to get the 3 flashing lights yet again!!!!!!!!

So, I call MS again and ask for a supervisor right away. He tells me that instead of just doing up a new repair order that they are going to just do an exchange. This way, as soon as my new broken console arrives in Toronto, they will immediately send me a new console. One thing that I found funny was when I asked him about the new chipset in the consoles. He told me that for us up here in Canada, that none of the 360' s will have the new chipset until early to mid 2008!!!!!!!

What was funny, was when I asked him if they were going to do anything for me for this inconvenience. He replied that they will not offer anything like free Live, free games or anything of that sort until your 3rd repair goes in. What a fucking joke if you ask me.

Sorry for venting, but as you can well understand, this is utter horse shit smothered in more horse shit topped with yet another third red ring of horse shit!!!!!!!

They don' t offer anything until the 3rd repair? Sounds like systems breaking down twice is not uncommon and perhaps expected. The Xbox360 really is the most unreliable console of all time, beating out the early Playstation 1s and 2s.

In the US they give you a 1 month xbox live gold card.

It is pretty lame. You lose your xbox for 2 weeks or so so they pay for that month' s xbox live. I bet it stops a lot of people from complaining more on the phone. It still sucks, but at least you don' t have to pay MS or for shipping.

Another thing I found weird is that when i sent mine in they told me they always replaced the 360' s with a new one at no charge. That' s what they did with me. Maybe MS was trying to cheat....fuckers.

No, it' s not a new record. I recieved my first unit back and they hadn' t done anything with it, it was still screwed. I just went and bought another and sent the one i had already back to Microsoft.

This is unbelievable actually. I wonder if this will damage their reputation when it comes to people buying their next console? Many seem to kind of accept it anyway now so maybe it won' t affect too much.

When you pay that much for a product you shouldn' t accept the fact that it breaks everytime someon farts 5 houses away.

You pay, to get a crappy product with horrible service. If it would have been Nintendo, or any other electronic device for that matter everyone would keep complaining and complaining.

I have been saying from the beginning that this was extremely stupid, and there is really no reason this should have happened.

We should take over MS and show them how to run a business dammit.

Yeah, I got the feeling that if I hadn' t asked for a supervisor right from the start, that they would have just set up another " repair" as they say. But speaking with the supervisor he said that he was just going to set up an exchange on the console for so that I will get a brand new unit.

The unit that I got yesterday that broke right away, had a manufacture date of March of 2006 and came with a letter stating that this was a Microsoft Approved Refurbished Console. I don' t know, it just seems that once again living in Canada is getting me screwed over again when it comes to videogaming.

Well i know / came across alot of 360 owners who turned to PC for their gaming.. On most cases it was a mixture of alot of games being PC ports and they want to play the best version with the best controls and online servies / mods etc. And the continuess Red ring of deaths..

Actually would be interesting to see how big the rise of PC gaming has been since the 360.

Is there a way to force the red lights of death? I don' t want to do it right now, as the Orange Box & other games still work (mostly) but it' s probably my best option as I think I' m out of warranty.

Just leave the machine on all day long and all night long. I had a friend who did the same thing when he knew that his dvd drive was going on him.
