MTV videogame award 04
-
Aug 30, 2004 13:04
I was watching the MTV video (?) awards last night and there was a category for best music in a video game. I was thinking maybe it would acknowledge actual video game music but instead based it on the bands and artists that lent their music to it. I think the nominees were: NFS: Underground True crimes Tony Hawk Underground and a couple others (doh I forgot) Anyways, TH Underground won

So far, there hasn' t been a video game awards show that hasn' t been blatantly insulting to all gamers.

Game Stars Live in the UK about 6 months ago was the first video game award show which actually gave awards to games I thought they should have. It was a nice surprise.

Sharon, I agree with you 100%!!! Awards shows are too often biased, poorly arranged and executed, and include people not even related to the industry....who cares if movie star (fill in the blank) announces the ' most hyped' category? Put a show together with just the videogame industry people and gamers, and you' ll be better off for sure...

Actually, they could make the show in conjunction with E3...two birds, one stone... That way it' s all about the games, not the stars playing games.
