Ps3 gets DVR capabilities next year

Sony is to launch a digital tuner for the Playstation 3 in early 2008, offering programmable TV recording functions to users of the next-gen console.
Warwick Light, sales and marketing manager for Computer Entertainment New Zealand, revealed the details to local website The Press, promising to " transform the PS3 capabilities so as to meet people' s changing entertainment needs."
Can' t say this will improve sales significantly. But its would be a welcome addition to the Ps3s already impressive multimedia credentials.

Its nice, But right now I cant say I would use it much, if at all.
Hd Video sure will take up ALLOT of space, I would use a usb hdd.
Change is inevitable. Except from a vending machine. Viva La Revolution! erm, I mean Viva La Wii!

However, 360 was supposed to get a TiVo-esque function and that never happened.
