Metal Gear Online Announced (PS3)

Thís has been rumored a lot, and now the announcement has been made!

Konami officially unveils Metal Gear Online for the Playstation 3 at their currently ongoing Metal Gear 20th Anniversary party in Tokyo. As 1UP (who are there) reports, a closed beta for 3,000 people is imminent:

We weren' t allowed to film the official unveiling of Metal Gear Online for PlayStation 3 during the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary party happening right this very instant in Japan, but we can bring word that Konami and Kojima Productions will be orchestrating a closed beta to choose 3,000 individuals who will help them test and tweak the online multiplayer game.

If MGS4 remain as a PS3 exclusive,
I believe that MS will definitely try to get this one for Xbox 360!

I dont think they can, this Online part is something like the Prologe in the GranTurismo games, this is a part of MGS4 Online funcionality, most likely they will sell this from the PS Store, and the fnal verson will be on the blu ray early 2008

Hey they stole my idea for DVD-9 games. Where to save space simply separate the single player and multi-player componants onto two separate discs. Only they took it a step further and charged for the 2nd disc...

He says " we' re still working on how we are going to release it" .

If they release this game full price on a BluRay Disc now that would be the rip off of the century. I seriously hope they do it over PSN for a reasonable price.
