Splinter Cell: Conviction delayed - Jul 25, 2007 08:18
Fantastic news! Save me $60. Now I can re-budget for the other games as seen fit...however in similar news Army of Two will be released in November..so I guess that pretty much puts that $60 right back in...

It' s funny but I have to absolutely agree with you. Considering how much games are coming out this fall it is not too bad that this one got delayed. Maybe it' ll even be good for UbiSoft cause the game won' t be released when all the other stuff is released.

dude i told some other guy here that splinter cell is heading for 2008, it wasn' t official but it looked so, the is very few elements known for a game to be released this year and more importantly there is no hype for splinter cell, for all the things they showed nothing was impressive and the gameplay didn' t seems appealing at all... heck even sam ficher lost its charisma.

obivously they(ubi soft) are in a rush to make naruto+assassins creed come out this year, and they know a huge title like Splinter cell deserve to be released on a month where it will dominate sales.

However the hype for this SC game hasn' t been high at all.
So the delay make sense.

Why would they care about Naruto? I was under the impression that most Naruto games blew.

Yeah but this is one is getting developed by Ubisoft Montreal(they are also working on Splinter Cell and AC) and not a random japanese developer. Therefpre it actually has a pretty good chance of being a decent game.

because its one of the most popular manga/anime and for kids 8-14 their most popular tv-show atm.

And also its being made by ubi soft montreal, the creator of Splinter cell, prince of persia, rain bowsix and they work on naruto+Assassins creed now.

They also had an application for Naruto saying AAA rpg action, avdenture game programmer needed.

And the game will be about episode 1-80(every episode in the anmie is ca 25 min long and lots of diffrent things happends in everyone) and have lots of sidequest and towns to explore,

And this game wont be a cheesy crappy beat' em up.

Didn' t Ubisoft Montreal make the TMNT game also tho? I don' t think they tend to put their hard work into licensed titles.

Ultimate Ninja' s not bad. I have faith in Rise Of The Ninja.

I' m glad that Conviction has been delayed, though. One reason is the one Mass X mentioned, and another reason is that I am still playing the others.

I think UbiSoft want to one-two punch Metal Gear Solid 4, although, let' s be honest,
Metal Gear is one of those games that will sell on hype alone.
There are two rules to success:

1. Never tell all you know.

Atleast Kojima productions deserved that thanks to their awesome standard of quality games.

Now we can all point or finger and say, deliver then talk.
Well Steven Spielberg and George Lucas manage to do the same, sell movies no matter what quality.
