Wow,same places same CGI as from 2005.
I mean come on S-E are you still that after in development?
Or are you afraid to show beta/alpha shoots for some reason?

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

The guys at S-E are not stupid, they know that no matter what they show now, if it isnt as good looking as the CG trailer, all the retarded xbots are gonna be like " Lost Odyssey PWNS FF XIII (downgrade total) teh PS3 is DOOM3D LOL" so they have to be careful, not showing the game until is almost on par with the CG is the right thing to do, besides, it allows them to focus completely in the game.

It doesnt matter. It amazes me how Square-enix can still sell the FF games these days since every game is the same damn thing. They need to improvise.

It also amazes me how anyone would buy a Halo game after the second but people like different things, one thins for sure, they both have over the top production values and that goes a long way for some, maybe they just like the kind of plot, or the multiplayer or who knows???

BTW, i agree with you, FF is retarded.

wait, isn' t the series KNOWN for having the same distinctive art style? The costumes are different, but it' s always the same style, no real suprises.

Nekkid , there is a difference between Final Fantasy 12 art style and 10 art style, those are totaly different.. same can be said with final 7 , 8, and 9... even 6 although this one can' t be compared because it' s 2d completely.

ok quez, my mistake not the battle system per se , but THE WAY you upgrade your character, magics, geforces , weapons, it' s totaly diferent from one to another.

Lost odyssey does look like the true Final Fantasy 13 :

turn based
great graphics
Great music by nubuo
great story
and i hope the gameplay wil folow

Some FF games has been way diffrent, for ex FF12 you fight as in a MMO and you create your own class of character so yes.

But the battlesystem has basically been the same in all FF games.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

The FF series follow basic japanese rules in every game.
The characters design, their role, and their relation to each other are the same as in every anime out there.
And even though the games look different the art style is the same. It' s just that they' ve changed the setting and some creatures. The overall style remains the same.
The story is often different but it still follows typical japanese game/anime story rules.
The gameplay is sometimes changed, but never have they changed the core or made any drastic changes. Everything still breathes Final Fantasy.
The games are different but they are still the same. That isn' t necessarily a bad thing though, since they keep much of what make the games so popular. And there can still be huge differences in the quality of the games.
I personally love FFVII, but I think FFX is really bad.
Famitsu readers don' t know shit. Voting FFX as the best game ever... Jesus, talk about bad taste. I bet 95% of all Famitsu readers are below the age of 18.
