Looks promising but has any starwars game ever been anywhere near as good for their time as the NES or Snes ones?

Star Wars: Knights of the old republic is amazing

Star Wars: Republic Commando is one of my favourite FPS games. It' s not amazing in any way, but it' s pure fun
