Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

Sweet graphics, and looks pretty cool, all in all. I just might get this one, even though I' m in a stage where JRPG' s doesn' t really make me click. But one thing that made me hestitate about LO was the battles, which used to look really uninspiring. Has this been changed, if so, and into something cool, this game will most likely rock! Still, think the main looks gayier than most of the Gay lookin' JRPG heroes... Finding this main is like searching for an Immortal Gay in a Gaystack!

I had a Swedish girlfriend, and I love Lost Odyssey.... Does that count? You' re right Dionysius, I need to see more from this fabled " innovative" battle system Sakaguchi keeps talking about, because as far as I can tell, it' s turn based.

Heads up everyone, n00bish question coming through: You know how the protagonist is meant to be immortal and all? Well, what exactly happens when you lose a battle? The game looks sweet though.

You know how the protagonist is meant to be immortal and all? Well, what exactly happens when you lose a battle? Gods has been immortal and still died. He might survive certain things just to fulfill his fate or something stupid like that. I would suspect that you can still lose the game if you lost a battle mayby its like the boss got away or something like that. Or else he just been captured the main guy or it just says " replay" in the battle. WHo knows, mayby he can die in the game expect in the CGI.

Gods has been immortal and still died. Now I' m finally understanding why people don' t like religion. Stuff like that doesn' t make any sense at all.

You know how the protagonist is meant to be immortal and all? Well, what exactly happens when you lose a battle? Perhaps hes only immortal as in he cant die of old age and cant age at all, but can be killed. Or maybe its like Fable 2 and instead of dying you get the shit beat out of you and you start fighting again.

Perhaps hes only immortal as in he cant die of old age and cant age at all Since he lived for 1000 years its that way yes. But at the same time he has been the only survivor if things he should have died of for ex that lava flood etc.

Getting pissed off at the reactions for the game. Like kotaku saying it looks great and like a great FF clone and they will get it ,but if someone is getting tired of JRPG he might not like it. I mean seriously. What kind of statement is that. Its like saying well crysis looks great and fun and im getting it,but it looks like a fps in its traditional way,so you might not like it. 1up said the same thing , so jrpg is boring and irratating nowdays? haha. k. Now im sure we wont hear the same thing abut FF13 even though it has been confirmed to have text/menu battle system too. No way.but if it is then I think these idiots should resign. WHy is FF games a success because you know what you' re getting, sure a new story and a few diffrent stuff but lots of it is still there. I always feel safe and entertained when I buy and play a FF game if I want a new or unique RPG game then I buy one,but I need to have my safe epic rpgs always coming and these douchebags are telling people they might be tired of it. Yeah right.

2 major problems I have with Lost Odyssey... 1. It' s a turn based affair with the " roadie run" camera angle. (Does that come as a camera option in the Unreal 3.0 engine?) 2. The hell is up with the framerate? Even the TGS/X06 showing had a smoother framerate, it looks like it' s struggling to hit even 30fps, it looked extremely choppy, almost like it had a lot of work still to be done on it. The art direction/voices/characters were all sublime and rich though, but judging from what we' ve seen so far it really does look like it will be your standard turn based game.
