Like a lot of people, I' m really looking forward to Halo 3. And the fact that it' s coming out earlier than anticipated is great... except that for me, it coincides with the same week that school starts, and my professor this year is renowned for piling on the reading and papers.

Single Player always looks better than Multiplayer, and the Beta wasn' t the ugliest piece of work to begin with.

OXM asked Bungie: Are the beta' s multiplayer visuals representative of the final game' s campaign graphics?

Answer form Bungue: Yes, they are representative, but they are not final and they will be tweaked and improved. Don' t strain your eyes looking for the differences.

That' s funny though, because I thought that Halo 2' s campaign looked significantly better than the multiplayer. I have a hard time believing that nothing got scaled back for multiplayer.

Animated nonfiction film. Kind of like documentaries in animated form. I mostly do 3D CG animation but aesthetically I like blurring the distinction between 2D and 3D. These are some stills from the short film I recently finished:

That' s pretty sweet no matter which way you look at it.

edit: There are next to no jaggies either.

I couldn' t tell the difference between the Halo 2 single and Halo 2 online.... and towards the end of the game Halo 2 did look kind of ugly so I probably went out with that impression.

As for the picture... it looks good, but I want to see it in action. Forza 2 looks good in pictures... not so much in motion, imo.

It' ll obviously featre heavily at Microsofts E3 keynote next week so we don' t have lon to wait before we get to see the campaign mode proper.

Has anyone downloaded the free stuff that bungie was supposed to be putting on the market place? I think they said it would only be available from 2 AM to Midnight. They also said the maps that came out recently were free

Haven' t checked that, but they put up some 3D Quicktime movies of the Brute Chopper and two new armor variants on Bungie.net.

There is a bungie day theme and picture pack that are free, I don' t know about the maps though.
