Well I went to play some GRAW 2 and when I turned it on the image was a bit scrambled. The GPU is fried or something. So my second 360 which was a new replacement is finally dead. I guess I' ll see if " third one' s a charm" as they say.

It didn' t even fuck up as I was playing it, it was fine the last time I played and when I turned it on it started fucked up.

seriously , this is really scrary, i can' t believe such big company like microsoft does this kind of mistake in manufacturing, AND IT' S FUCKING NOT 3% the rate is much much much higher, may be over than 50%, and you got the sample right here in kikizo... according to the store i bought from, almost all of its customers who bought the 360 had it repaired later... now all of us buy afan and we put it right in the back to suck heat.... may be you guys should do this specialy if you pay for intensive hours.

Dude, try the towel trick. It doesn' t violate the warranty, and worse comes to worse & it doesn' t work, they' ll just think you really screwed up your box.

I rarely play, and never for more than 2 hours, my xbox should be arriving thuesday, thats 2 months since i sent it. I need to restart GRAW since i dont remember the storyline, and i think i might replay Halo to set myself up for the third one

VX put a fan behind your xbox, yes it' ll make noise but once you start playing you won' t give a damn attention but (according to many people i know) your xbox will be much safer... i' m still on the probation period and i hope it won' t die on me, god hear me.

I don' t think it matters, they still haven' t fixed the problem. The defective rate is probably in the 80-100% range. It' s just a matter of time and luck before your 360 dies.

Already there, infact I have a gaming rig and I just bought an EVGA 8800GTX. I should get it in the early part of next week.

Meh, I don' t care, I don' t pay a cent to get a replacement and if my new one dies I' ll just send that in a get another new one. The only downside is that downloads are tied to the console and not just the Gamer tag for some shitty reason. So everytime I get a new 360 I have to rebuy all my Arcade games if I want to play them offline. Which is irritating, how many times will I have to buy Geometry Wars?

They' re tied to your account, HDD (obviously) and your 360. MS did it this way to make it difficult to copy Arcade games and give them away. A pain in the ass for everyone.

I' ve never had a defective PC part, and in the off chance that it ever happens I just have to RMA it and I' d probably get a good part that would work as advertised. With a 360 your guaranteed to get a defective box after you buy it in the store and another defective box after you return it and get another one.

Mine went busto a while ago so I called in yesterday and they wanted me to pay $139.99 to send it in to get fixed. Might as well buy a new fxing box for that much.

I thought they dont require you to send in you HDD anymore? They let me keep mine. So when I got it back it worked fine with all my d/ls. I guess the only thing we can be happy is that the cost is merely time and nothing more.

PC gaming is still too expencive for me...and uncomfortable. I tried PC gamign from a couch...doesnt work well. So then I tried normal computer chair and desk...but my tv is my moniter so you cant get to close or the view is obscurred. So yeah...maybe later I' ll try PC gaming again.

I never did send in my HDD, I still have my original. Some Arcade games, such as the most important one (Geometry Wars) is locked to your 360 itself. It also recognizes your Gamer Tag but that only works when you' re signed into Live. So if you want to play Geometry Wars Offline on your new 360 or access a lot of your other content you payed for you' re shit out of luck. This is easilly the dumbest this about the console considering how likely it is that your Box will die on you.

yep, put it on there for 15 minutes then took it off and let it cool for about a half-hour and it worked. I was really worried because I thought my brother or one of his friends accidently kicked it or something stupid like that and the towel trick wouldn' t work. They probably did though, it is too great a coincidence that it works perfectly fine for almost 2 years then he has a party and it breaks.

The fixes really aren' t to hard to do its just everyone is lazy, unless of course you have warranty and they just give you a new one then it just doesn' t f***ing matter. The 360 I own but broke before I ever really owned it is going to be overhauled sometime soon and then it shouldn' t really give me anymore problems or I' m killing Eddie and taking his or maybe just taking his because I think a lot of people would be pissed if I killed him.
