What the......

I received this text below through from xbox updates in my e-mail. It came accompanied with a partial image of something (will try and get it uploaded). Anyone else get this? Opinions, it looks like some sort of Halo-esque viral start to me but probably wrong?

That' s what I thought, the edges of the walls do have a Halo feel. I' ve tried googling some of the text in the message, but found nothing of interest yet.

Seems Too Humany to me, fits the style and the backdrop of the game!

" Enemy is almost upon us" ,you do know Flood and Covenant finally found earth now?
Yes COvebnnat found earth in halo2 but was by a misstake with a scout fleet,now they send their real army.

" A journey must commence" ,It' s a reference to the forerunners holy journey which will start through the ARC at Earth.
However the flood is also heading there...

It also says


" History winding back on it self" meaning something repeating it self! In Mass Effect and Too Human, i think as well, its about an Alien machien army awakening every XXXX year and returning to finish off civilization, to harvest them.


Also the headline hints at a returning happening, something that happens more times, as far as i know, neither the flood or covenant has the clock set for anything!

Bungie have used semi-philosophical ramblings and literary references before, which is why this struck we as a halo piece. I' m sure the rumour/spin-mongers will be using this to second guess the plot.

Halo is cool and all, but too me its kinda like a super mario fps (not taken literaly)

Its not as tough as it wants to be, its like cutesy mixed up with 80ies Action movie with a scifi twist and a little jar jar binx thrown in as well.

Blue blooded covenant and the flood are too cartoony.

The cryptic omens in the text seemed more serious, but maybe they will make Halo more serious, a healthy mix of halo style and gears of war style would be great!

While i agree that halo isnt as deep as it could be. I dont think gears really let on its deeper than it is, you can optionally read about the story and such on the net and in the manual but Gears got just the right stuff to be a military shooter, future one!

Meh, I never really got into the Halo mythos, although I heard that the books were near decent. The blue & white text matched the Beta anyway, so there isn' t much contest as to where the image is from.

By the way... did anybody hear anything about I Love Bees 2? I heard it mentioned somewhere today & I was wondering if it was anything but rumors.

Time travel in 3 = Halo 3 actiony-ness + CoD epic-ness

I' m liking the idea personally.

The rings were activated by the Forerunners 100,000 years ago. Hstory repeating itself probably has something to do with that, and only the Monitors could have already experienced the previous activation, so the passage is probably the words of AdjutantReflex, the Arks Monitor.

I highly doubt there will be any time travel. There are some crazy forerunner technologies in the boocks but time travel is just stupid.

It shouldn' t take that long to do anything to an Xbox 360. Is there any way to track shipping over there, to find out if your box actually made it? Because that' s not like most of their repair service. It' s usually really quick.
