xenosaga was good but i like PLAYING my RPGs thank you. i found my self puting the controler down every 15-20 mins to watch a mini-movie starring the charters i was just playing with! i heard that they are changing the way the chars. look in the game to look more " real" . they looked fine but to match the mood, they changed it. i think you can go overboard and i think that they did with the change.

Untrue, as far as your assessment of time goes.

Xenosaga has approximately 162 minutes (2 hours, 42 minutes) of non-interactive game time. It takes between 35 and 50 hours to beat. You figure out the ratio.

The phenomenon has been happening for a while- breaks in the action for cut-scenes in video games are perceived as taking ten times longer than they actually do. A 7-minute movie is somehow thought of as a half an hour.

For the most part, there is 95% interactivity in ALL RPG' s, and that includes Xenosaga. The only time that number starts to dip is with non-RPG' s like MGS 2...
