America' s Army: True Soldiers (360) Trailer and Interview - Jun 12, 2007 15:32
Well this sure as *** sprung out of nowhere. I havent played the previous ones but heard they were pretty well made.

Anywho here' s a few key notes:
-Using GRAW Engine
-360 Exclusive
-Multiplayer matches will exclude any and all solo types
-Heavy improvements over th elast iteration

...I havent even read the interview so Im sure there' s plenty more info.

IGN

Edit: After reading the interview it certainly runs a very slight risk of repeating GRAWs gameplay in a way. I' m not certain what to think about this one. Could be run of the mill could be lame could be amazing fun.

Interesting point made by someone. How will they price this, seeing as originally AA was meant as a tool to help young men (boys) to decide if a life in the Army was the right choice for them, and it was a 700+ Mb download which was free.

Wow, ...Red Storm are handling this? That' s interesting!

It' s 1st person rather than 3rd like GRAW so it' ll play very differently. I suspect it' ll play far more like the PC versions of GRAW and GRAW2, ...with more emphasis on moving through the world tactically.

If fact, i would actually say that this looks like the PC version of GRAW 2 re-branded with the AA license. Not exactly a bad thing.

Graphically it' s a much nicer looking game than the previous AA games:

It' s also not based on the Future Warrior program like GRAW which means we' ll get real world weaponry that' s actually in use rather than the Advanced Warfighter gear.

This is a nice surprise for me because so far it' s been looking like futuristic and WWII shooters and i much prefer modern day settings, especially those done like GRAW.

The console versions of GRAW and GRAW 2 were based in realism but played more arcade-like than their PC counterparts. This however should be in much the same vein as the super hard and tactic heavy PC shooters, ...although i' m sure some concessions will be made because it' s a console game.

I' m looking forward to this. It' s a nice exclusive for 360, but a PS3 version could very well turn up as GRAW2 is apparently up and running as well as the 360 version.

AA was total propaganda, but it was pretty darn good propaganda.

This is a big suprise, as (like previously said) this came out of nowhere, but it should be good. The only thing I' m worried about is the whole, " Like what you see son? Join the Army!" thing that I' m sure will get pushed. It' s not the biggest deal, regular advertising in games is worse, but I can imagine it getting tiresome after a while.
