What would you spend £400,000 or $800,000 on?

After seeing the absolute piece of garbage that is the London 2012 logo and finding out that it cost £400,000 or $800,000 (at roughly current exchange rate.) It got me thinking whilst it isn' t a vast fortune, it would be intersting to find out how and on what you would spend that amount of money on.

Me personally pay of the mortgage and get a an Aston Martin DBS or DB9 oh and what the hell pay full price for a PS3.

First - A small house in a fairly decent area

Second - A basic car that will get me from point A-B comfortably

Third - An above average entertainment setup meant mainly for gaming of course

Forth - Well honestly thats all I' ll ever need. The remaining cash will goto living expenses to make each day relaxing and easy going. Set and simple is all I want.

I would buy a really nice car and HDTV, and parts to build another computer then save most of it for a house for when I' ll actually want one.

-A night with a really good hooker (might even get a free STD).

-A hyper clown dressed like Ronald McDonald to switch discs in my game systems for me.

-A manly toilet with 5 times the load capacity, with toilet paper made out of silk.

-Some rare baby seals to make my own fur coat or two or whatever it is they do with baby seals.

-A can of Diet Coke® with actual cocaine (diet version) in it.

-1500 illegal immigrants to do all the work I ever need done for the rest of my life.

-Down payment on a Neo Geo game.

My answer is rather boring. I' d get my folks out of the financial hole, get ' em a decent place to live. Pay for a better education. Get a decent ride. Not tell any girl I have money & wait for the right one to come along, then promptly settle down for a long life of paintball, skydiving and videogaming.

Pay for my parents' retirement, pay for my neice' s college career, pay off my own student loans, and pay good money for the art and music that my friends make.

Nothing really exciting:

Pay off current mortgage

Buy an apartment in Thames Valley to rent out so I don' t have to work as hard.

Put some money aside for my daughters' uni funds.

And with the few grand left I might just be able to afford a PS3.

I would buy an 18-wheeler, pay an artist to paint the entire exterior with a videogame theme. Drive it down south and I' d ram the ***er righter through Jack Thompson' s house!

I have always thought if I ever get any large sum of money I would turn it all into property.

I' d buy 2 houses CASH in fast growing/developing areas, rent one to some idiot family for $1600-$2000/ month and live on the other for free, sell them both years later when they are worth more if I feel like it, I already have a good 2007 Car so I don' t need that.

Realistically, that' s what I would do as well. I would probably build a few houses (higher profit magins) to rent out, live off of that and put about $100 000 in mutual funds so by the time I turn 50 I' d be a multi millionaire. Making money when you have money is so easy.
