Hour of Victory - Jun 02, 2007 09:32
I know this isonly a demo but surely more is expected from Midway. I was looking forward to this, however after about 5 mins and Eddies message, I am more than a little disappointed, OXM360 wrote great things about this, I am now starting to think that some form of Payola was used as this really is quite poor.

For Starters I found the whole thing slugish and cumbersome.

The modeling on the soldiers made them look chisel square jawed.

The gun sounds seemed to tinny and not very authentic.

I normally love WWII fps but this really is not worth a 1st looks let alone a 2nd look.

The only thing this game has going for it is the ease of play. I ran through the entire demo before realising that you were supposed to take cover.

HORRIBLE!!!

LoL yeah it was just so horrid. I don' t think I ever played a worse game. It' s like they just took a shit on a blank dvd pressed it and checked to see what kinda results would form. Well I dunno maybe its not as bad as that but seriously this game has nothing going for it.

I wasn' t even considering this game, but now Eddie has sent me a message about avoiding it, I' m just going to have to go and get the demo now and see how bad it really is.

Who are you on XBL again? I know like 4 people who' s GT' s don' t match their Usernames here.

It makes me pine for Call of Duty:3 campaign.

Yeah, I always play demos twice, no matter how bad. I gave Forza a second chance, and that turned out alright, so I figured I might be able to pull something good out of it.

I was wrong.[:' (]

I personally find it amazing that every time GI or Gamespot or OXM preview a game, it' s the savior of it' s platform, and then it releases and in the review, it magically sucks 50% more than when they did the preview.

Finally tried this one last night. Good grief is it appalling. Graphics rubbish, AI imbecilic, shoots like a 15+ year old FPS. I thought it couldn' t be as bad as everyone had made out, I was so wrong. If it had appeared as a Live Arcade game you could have forgiven it, but there is no way it is a full price game - its just embarrassing.

And Eddie, my Gamertag on Live is Jodmeister.

I actually downloaded it and i thought it reminded me of halo 2 online when you have host shotgun, If you shoot them with the cross hairs right on them it misses, but if its nowhere near them its a lethal shot. Also i shot a guy in the foot and he was doing backflips [:' (]

I did glitch my revolver into going full auto at one point before I deleted it, although it may have just been a conveniently occuring bug.

Probably the latter

... I downloaded it, PotC, and the new pacman demos because i was so bored... And i have to say i think PotC and pacman were pretty close... but thats only because i could never beat the original pacman
