1) When your 360 fell, did the HDD get knocked out of the slot, or did it stay in?
2) Is the HDD port on the top of your 360 loose?
3) HDD loose as in the bottom dark grey part is separated from the chrome sided-grey topped case? or is it something more bizzare?
4) Have you tried someone elses HDD on it? Worst case scenario it' s a problem with your port, which would really blow. Best case scenario you have to buy a $40 Western-Digital 2.5 and format it for your 360 losing all of your data, which is the cheaper option to buying a $100 model.
The HD was still in the 360. The back of the HD is loose, thats all, not like it shattered to pieces or anything. I tried my cousins HD and it worked.
No he does not. It' s actually quite simple to format an off the shelf HDD and place it in your 360 now. Just requires a bit of time and a bit of patience.
Actually it wasnt hard at all, the non english speaking Indian lady just told me to go over to memory and press Y
Even if you didn' t drop it your 360 would have stopped working sooner or later. I bet your not as angry knowing it' s your fault though. I don' t know if that' s much consolation (enough with the puns already).
Actually my 360 was replaced back in March and this one has been running great and surprisingly it still is. It was mostly my fault. What happened was i moved my 360 and my Ethernet cable was hanging in the open and my clumsy ass dog tripped over it and i grabbed the 360, but when i tried to untangle my dog it fell and i didnt catch it.
.... I actually wish it would have been my 360 to *** up instead of my HD because i cant remember my email to recover my live stuff, and i never used it so i dont really know much about it which is making it hard to get MSN to give me my password. Iv given them a credit card, my secret question word, and all sorts of crap and they' re still being bitches about it.
EDIT: And by the way, does anyone know if i can get my same GT if i cancel my old one?
