I think what Kojima meant is : he won' t develop MGS4 while considering a futur port to 360, that is he will not remove some features specific for ps3 (like a requirement to use sixaxis in certain part of the game) just because " if" the 360 get the port, it will not be compatible.

Im pretty sure Majik caught that as well, sounds like he is " comforting" the ps3 boys so they wont worry that the Xbox will make their version worse we he announces the 360 version soon!

Simple math. 360 still have plenty of games to tempt people with, and Ps3 seems like it will get it' s fair share, in due time.

people forget that guys like Hideo dont always control things like that, as there are investors to please as well, the installed base of 360 is not to be ignored!

The games offer completely different experiences.
MGS is more about the experience and not so much about gameplay. It' s focusing on telling a story with interesting characters and getting the player involved in it.

Splinter Cell gives you a more atmospheric experience and the gameplay is much more immersive giving you a feeling that you' re actually doing the job.

One is an interactive anime, the other an immersive videogame.

considering how the majority (most likely) of pro-Microsoft gamers have such a vehement hate for Sony and the games which have the strongest association with them (Metal gear, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy ect), why does the prospect of second-hand versions of these games fill them with so much excitement?


...it' s not like they would aculally buy MGS4 if it was released on the x360....

..that' s my point... ...with all the attention certain sections of the web give to, say DMC4 being available later on x360, i find it pretty funny how most x360 owners actually hate the franchise...


...it' d be nice to read more about the potential drawbacks to big AAA titles going multi-format... ...like the reduced likelihood in any of these games making the most of next-gen hardware...
