Halo 3: September 25
-
May 16, 2007 16:40
I know there' s a plethora of Halo 3 threads going right now, but this seems worthy of its own -- the official release date for the U.S. is September 25th, and for Europe, September 26th. ...sayeth Bungie.

Sorry, I just saw that Agent Ghost scooped this in the Beta article thread. Anyway, not so bad of a delay, but when it' s that slight I wonder what the purpose of it is at all? Maybe they are just accounting for the time zone differential.

September - December is going to be damn crazy. If Halo wasn' t big enough, in October GTA IV hits and the last GTA game sold 5M worldwide in a single month.

Yeah, but Halo3 has pre-orders up to 4 millions already Majik. Anyway all the retailstores leaked out september releasedate before, guess they were right :) Now its gonna be intresting to see what title will hit in November and December
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

ORIGINAL: Nitro September - December is going to be damn crazy. If Halo wasn' t big enough, in October GTA IV hits and the last GTA game sold 5M worldwide in a single month. I find it a little hard to believe that they' ll actually get GTA4 out the door in the next 5 months. Usually by this stage we' ve seen more than a simple teaser trailer. It may be because they' re working super hard on it and simply don' t want to give anything away, or they may not have much work done at all. This is not to say that I don' t want it to be released. If they can actually make that deadline it' ll be awesome. But for a blockbuster like GTA4 I' m not holding my breath.

Man, September-December = Cuh-rah-ay-zeeh. What I believe is slated for release between those times on the 360 are: Blue Dragon Mass Effect Lost Odyssey Halo 3 Assassins Creed (?) GTA IV DMC4 (?) Virtua Fighter 5 (probably before then) Among others, that I have drawn a blank towards, I like the fact that Halo nestles itself nicely on Semptember the 26th, between Blue Dragon and probably Mass Effect. What a lovely year to be a gamer. Erm, aren' t there supposed to be some kind of announcements in May, it' s the time E3 is supposed to take place, so where are all the new announcements?
There are two rules to success: 1. Never tell all you know.

Let' s all meet up at a shipping-dock in Hong-Kong and shipjack the game distributors, because that' s more money than I really care to worry about.

IGN couldn' t tell the difference between a 2 & a 9 anyway. I' m betting since it' s the last it' s gonna get an average of 9.3-9.5, and then a year later there' ll be some pessimistic idiot who gives it a 5 because those ideas were " so last year" .
