WTF? A FPS in the Starcraft universe would be awesome, admittedly not as awesome as Starcraft 2. But its better then nothing.

Starcraft had it all, excellent story & universe, excellent gameplay, balanced and varied sides not sure if its graphics were state of the art when it was released but they were good. Topping that would be nothing short of spectacular.

Yes i do hope the announcement is for Starcraft 2 (but if its Starcraft Ghost i wouldn' t be disappointed). But i' m not holding my breath, especially when Blizzard makes a killing of WoW and how much is expected of the Starcraft sequel.

I doubt very much they would announce in the city which treat Starcarft and RTS in general as an national sport,and saying,hey you know that huge announcement we talked about?
It' s about starcraft ghost,you know that game that never got much hype or buzz from gamers?

Thats because they didn' t show anything on Starcraft ghost, thats why people didn' t get to excited. They simply announced it. News about it eventually dried up and its been in Limbo ever since. I' m sure if they showed a couple of screenshots of the Starcraft Ghost game based on areas from Starcraft (RTS) levels in the people will get real excited.

I think it is awesome a company would abandon a game that far in development because it isn' t up to their standards. 3rd person action/adventure is so mid 90' s.

No matter. Blizzard has always impressed me over the years and they can take their time and do whatever, because they make good entertaining games.

Well they do own swinging ape studios which were developing ghost for them. But i think Blizzard needs to expand and add a new IP before they begin recycling their old ones.

Though they would be safe recycling, it would be kinda boring!

Alien versus Predator, it has been done.

Blizzard wouldn' t do nearly as well with a first person shooter as they will with an RTS or MMORPG. There are so many FPS' s out and they are so advanced it would be hard to just jump into that genre and make one as great as the competition. Blizzard is King of RTS and MMORPG. But they need another RTS, StarCraft 2, to reassure everyone of their authority.
