PC monitors --> xbox 360

I heard that hooking a PC monitor up to your 360 can give quite a good picture and can be cheaper than buying a good TV? Is this true? Has anyone done this?

Yea you can hook it up via the 360 VGA cable. Mine runs beside my PC on a 20" widescreen LCD monitor. A good HDTV is much better though, and they' re getting cheaper all the time. A nice 32" LCD might cost you £200-300 over here. Sure you can get a cheaper LCD PC monitors for 100 or less, or even use one you already have. But you' ll have to settle for oftentimes poorer image quality and odd aspect ratios. (The washed out colours have recently been addressed, yay!) Fact is 360 was desiged for 720p HDTVs so thats what they' ll look best on.

Not really, just make sure it has an ASTC (HDTV) tuner and a good response time, 8 ms or better.
