It was a mistranslation. When asked, he said they weren' t currently headhunting Kutaragi.

They could hire him as their company jester. Then whenever a Nintendo employee felt a little bit overworked, they could go and see KK, he' d say one of his catchphrases and it would cheer them up again. ...I wish they made talking Kutaragi dolls.

I would hire him as a clown for birthday parties. How much do you guys think that would cost?

I thought the games was what defined a console. If not then why would or should people buy a freaking ps1 from the start?!
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

Kutaragi has been an idiot when it comes to PR but I wonder how well he did other parts of his job. I mean, he must have been good at corporate strategy, getting 3rd party deals, start projects, organizing the different divisions and employees, handling the economy, choosing what part of the market to focus on and stuff like that. I think that as long as he' s kept away from the media he can be a pretty decent person to have in your company.

He was really good at what he did before he lost his mind (shortly before the PS3 was announced). I don' t know what really went wrong, maybe too overconfident, but he slipped up on tons of exclusives and made for a crap showing at E3 06.

I don' t think Kutaragi shares Nintendo' s vision of providing cheap/inexpensive gaming hardware Can you imagine the PlayStation 4?? Thing would have probably cost $1500 under Kutaragi, and when asked about the high price, his silly response would probably be: " Real gamers will just have to suck it up and work lots of overtime in order to enjoy the latest in PlayStation technology.!"

I worked the strip for 3 months to save up for the PS3, and all I got was this dumb rain-check voucher.

Yeah, if they do acquire him. It' s hell to pay for SONY and SCEA. The man with the next gen visions is not on their side.
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
