Anyone here seen the original JP version of the ring - Mar 15, 2003 20:59
Complete with english subtitles. This is the only film that has ever made my jump. I was watching it quite late at night last year on channel 4 I think it was, and it really made me thing. The Hollywood vesion is POOR compared to the low budget original; A true horror film.

I have heard due to the popularity of the hollywood version, the JP version soon get a UK release, I have my doubts about it getting released thoguh and suggest you get hold of it through other well know methods on the net. I REALLY recomment it.

Yep bloody cool, its now available in HMV for £12.99 on dvd, look out for Ring 2 and the prequal Ring 0 as well!
The flat shaded polygons are much more rounded here...

JP Ring added to the list of good but not up to the original hollywood remakes, right along with Nikita, Vanilla sky and countless others.
